Community Planting Day

BVRA members participated in the Community Planting Day on September 28, 2014 by planting native shrubs and trees as part of a restoration project on the Bronte Bluffs.  This event was sponsored through Great Lakes Guardian Community Fund in partnership with the Town of Oakville, Conservation Halton, Evergreen and the Bronte Improvement Area.

Tree Planting at Shell Park

The event was organized by Oakville Green, with Wholefoods Oakville Green Mission, BVRA and other members of the community in attendance.

Councillor Ralph Robinson and Mayoral Candidate Gordon Brennan were also in attendance. 175 native trees and shrubs  were planted to extend the natural grow areas of the park.

Inaugural Meeting of Town Council

Announcing A New Community Skating Rink

Ward 1 Councillors Ralph Robinson and Sean O’Meara, the Bronte BIA and the Bronte Village Residents Association (BVRA) are pleased to announce the opening of a new community ice skating rink in Bronte Heritage Park this winter.

The rink is scheduled to open later this month.  Anyone interested in helping maintain the rink is encouraged to contact the BVRA,
